GRIFTER’S TALES · BY COLIN LEE MACLEOD
A little Thanksgiving history
Thanksgiving in Canada draws on traditions of giving thanks for the harvest. The holiday’s date changed over the years before the second Monday in October became its fixed annual date in 1957. Today, it is a time many people gather to share a meal and give thanks.

A reason to give
Thanksgiving is a time to eat and enjoy. And be thankful.
I was lucky enough to come across an amazing opportunity to cook a lot of turkey for a lot of people who were hungry.
And I tell you, it was a beautiful, wonderful thing.
Did forget the cranberry sauce, though. So hey, next time, remind me to get some cranberry sauce. Never really liked the stuff myself. I’m more of a thick turkey gravy kind of guy.
I hope your Thanksgiving was amazing.
