A lunch in pictures, from the first ingredients to the finished plate. Original photographs from the galley aboard Aqua Service.
The makings of lunch
Lunch starts on the counter: buns, bacon and breaded patties, with the stove close by. These are the original galley photos, from the first ingredients to the finished sandwich.

Bacon in the pan
The bacon gets its own moment in the sequence. The photographs follow the meal as it comes together, with the worktop doing duty as the preparation area.

Getting the buns ready
The buns are split and spread, ready for the filling. A plate of breaded patties sits beside them. A few ordinary ingredients are becoming a proper sandwich.

A working galley
Step back and the setting becomes part of the story. This is a working galley, with the stove, sink and counter sharing a compact space. The wider photograph gives the close-ups their context.

The finished sandwich
Then comes the finished plate: a filled bun with bacon and cheese visible at the edges. From ingredients on the counter to something ready for the table, this is one small slice of galley life.

This is a photo story. Ingredient quantities, cooking times and temperatures have not been recorded here.
