Why I’m Documenting Life at Sea

Keeping the ordinary moments aboard the Aqua Service: real work, crew meals, photographs and stories another person might find useful.

A working day can vanish into the next one. The jobs get done, the meal gets eaten, the boat moves on, and the little details disappear.

That’s why I’ve started taking more photographs and videos aboard the Aqua Service.

Some show the equipment and vessels around us. Others show a chopping board, a pot on the stove, or a finished plate of food. Together they tell a fuller story than any one photograph could.

Useful stories begin with ordinary work

I’ve worked in different places and learned from different people. One thing keeps coming back: useful stories often begin with ordinary work.

I’m not trying to turn every moment into a masterpiece. I’m trying to keep the real moments, explain what I know, admit what I don’t, and share something another person might find interesting or useful.

This is the beginning of a bigger collection of working-life stories, food, travel and practical lessons.

Help yourself by helping other people more.

More Better Good.
