GRIFTER’S TALES · WORK IN PROGRESS

Capture the day. Write the story. Get it out where someone can read it.

The material is already there

The website has to fit into a life that includes boat work. There are meals to cook and jobs to do, while the travel photos and story notes keep accumulating. Waiting for an empty calendar would be a reliable way to publish nothing.

I have used Starlink on vessels for years. That connection has been part of how I work online from boats. The other part is less technical: remembering what happened and giving it enough attention to become a readable story.

Build, then improve

Our approach is to get a useful structure in place, fill it with real material, and keep improving it. Grifter’s Tales gives the individual stories a home, from a Whistler meal to a working day aboard the Aqua Service.

The colorful billboards introduce each page. The photographs keep the lived moments in view. The writing has to do the rest: tell the truth, keep the detail that matters, and give the reader a reason to stay.

Grifter’s Takeaway

Start with the stories you can tell honestly today. Publish something useful, then keep making it better.
