English for Checking What a Supplier Quote Includes

Learn how to ask what a supplier quote includes, check delivery and tax, identify extra charges and confirm the final price before approving an order.

Business English lesson about checking what a supplier quote includes with Italian support.

A supplier sends you a quote.
The price looks good, but you still need to know exactly what is included before you agree to anything.
A useful first question is:
“Does this price include delivery and tax?”

Un fornitore ti invia un preventivo.
Prima di accettarlo, è importante capire esattamente cosa è incluso nel prezzo.
Puoi iniziare chiedendo:
“Questo prezzo include la consegna e l’IVA?”

The goal is not to sound complicated.
The goal is to
confirm the full cost and avoid surprises later.

“Delivery is included.”

Good. Now check the other important costs:
tax, installation and any extra charges.

“Tax is extra.”

Ask:
“Could you confirm the total price including tax?”

Business English and Italian supplier quote conversation.

A realistic supplier conversation

Fictional business practice dialogue / Dialogo di pratica

Buyer:
“Thanks for sending the quote. Does this price include delivery and tax?”

Acquirente:
“Grazie per il preventivo. Questo prezzo include la consegna e l’IVA?”

Supplier:
“Delivery is included, but tax is extra.”

Buyer:
“Okay. Is installation included?”

Supplier:
“No. Installation would be an additional charge.”

Buyer:
“Could you send me a revised quote showing the total price, including tax and installation?”

Supplier:
“Of course. I’ll send an updated quote.”

That conversation does three useful things:
checks what is included, identifies extra costs and asks for the final amount in writing.

What might the supplier say?

“Delivery is included.”

“Tax is extra.”

“Installation is not included.”

“There is an additional charge for delivery.”

“I’ll send you a revised quote.”
